This two-sided digital print is based on patterns of the Vienna Secession. The Secession was the Viennese version of or response to the French art nouveau and German Jugendstil movements. While studying in Vienna years ago, I became enamored with Secessionist art, especially its surface design and typography.

The front of the print is essentially a poster celebrating the design of the Vienna Secession. The back includes information about the Secession, including its influences and origin, aesthetics, and works. My favorite part of the design is that it neatly folds up into a little packet.

I imbued this piece with the aesthetics of the Secession, while also making a fun, tactile design.
