Golden Plates Tarot is a traditional 78-card tarot deck with imagery based on the Book of Mormon (representing the Minor Arcana) and LDS church history (representing the Major Arcana). The four suits are sacrament cups (cups), arrows (wands), swords of Laban (swords), and limnah (pentacles).

The packaging for the tarot deck includes both a green satin pouch with gold ribbons and a paper wrap. The biggest challenge in designing the wrap was fitting the images and copy onto it (it’s only 9.5-inches around by 3-inches tall). To overcome this limitation and to help the user navigate the design, I overlapped elements of mutual relevance and utilized panels to delineate areas of information.
